Bonjour!
I'm very sorry, but I don't speak French, I hope this is not a problem for you!
I saw that is southerd France pistachio is cultivated!
I saw that someone use to graft this plant, so I'm here to have some informations!
I tried last year to graft some p. Vera seedlings and P. Lentiscus with T-budding method but I failed.
In february I tried on P. Terebinthus and P. Lentuscus, this time with Double-English graft and I had only one success with a P. Lentiscus but it was very very slow and died anfter 2 months!
I did not used a controlled temperature but I grafted outdoors.
I live in center Italy, at about 10km from the Adriatic Coast.
According to Koppen & Geiger this is a Cfa, a humid subtropical climate, but according to me it is not so humid and during summer temperatures are abouto 30° and humidity is low.
Anyway, is possible to find P. Terebinthus at the foot of the mountains (at about 30km from me), but none tried to graft with pistachio and it is not cultivated here.
Three months ago I planted some 2-3 years old P. Terebinthus in a field south-facing.
My goal is to graft them in the next 2-3 years!
According to you which is the best method to graft pistachio?T budding? And when, at the end of the winter or at the end of summer?
The real problem is how to have good scions to bud, because via courier they spend 2 days minimum in travelling.
Is there someone who had succed in grafting with scion delivered via courier?

And what method of grafting did you used?
You tried only with delivered cuttings or do you have some pistachio plants?
Did you grafted on potted plants or in orchard?
In which month did you made the graft?
Did you refrigerated your cuttings?
How many time did you tried to graft?
Did you had experience with grafting other plants?
Did you had problems only with pistachio?
Did you tried on young or old terebinths?
According to you why do you failed?
Did you made only an experiment or in Ardeche pistachio is cultivated or there is someone who had success in graftong pistachio?
Excuse me if I made too much questions!

For my part I tried twice and I had two failures.
First time in August 2013, I tried with T-budding but on not good potted rootstocks, on P. Vera and P. Lentiscus...I had some cuttings after 2 days of travelling under more than 30°C, when they arrived at my home they were boiling!!!
So probably because of this and because of not good rootstocks I failed.
This year, in february, I tried on P. Terebinthus and on a Lentiscus, this time I tried with double english graft and I had only one success, strangely with the only one Lentiscus, but it grew very low and after two months it died.
It is not the best way to graft pistachio, but I read that it was possible, anyway my Terebinths were on pots only from the previous winter, before they were in alveolus, so they were 2-3 years old but not very vigorous.
So this spring I planted some Terebinths in orchard and I'm going to buy a male and a female pistachios with the aim of grafting them with their buds in the next 2-3 years.
The real problem is to have good buds at zero km.

Thank you again Patrice!
So, does pistachio in Ardeche make fruits?
I don't really know the flowering period for pistachio, is it in June?
I know that t-budding can be made or in february-march or in august-september!
Anyway, can I ask you if you make treatment with pesticides agains fungal disease and parasites?
I read that from spring to dormancy, you must use a broad-spectrum fungicide, in may an insecticide against aphids and in october against cochineal.
Do you use to treat your plants as a prevention?
Do you have a "diagram" of operations?
According to me, the only real problem of my climate is the humidity, so I have to make prevention against fungi.
